ICC Profiles

ICC (International Color Consortium) Profiles

With accurate printer profiles, your prints will closely match what you see on your monitor. Without profiles, you would need to rely on trial and error combined with guessing. Color control and color matching is of great importance to dye-sub operators; if a design contains specific colors, we want to ensure it is faithfully reproduced when printed onto a substrate.

For this reason, we use ICC color profiles, which are designed to ensure that 'what you see on screen, is what you get' on your end product. An ICC profile calibrates the prints made on your sublimation print system for specifics such as:

- Printer Type
- Print Resolution
- Ink Type
- Paper Type
- Substrate

An ICC profile is a custom designed file that you load onto your computer system. This file takes into account the characteristics of the specific ink, paper, printer and program being used. Every time you print from Corel or Photoshop, your printer knows to use this file and therefore prints accurate colors, and even a novice can expect to easily get excellent printed images on their products.
