Two things were disappointing... it was not cut exactly to the size ordered, it was about 2 mm off on both sides (measured with calipers). Second, I was hoping for a matt background, not a shiny silver when it was engraved.

NOTE ADDED BY ADMIN - CO2 Lasers will work best with this material

Engraving with 30W fiber laser both vector and raster. Very satisfied with the black/silver, great finish and excellent for photos. Black/gold, however, engraves more like copper. Could pass as gold with vector, but very very orange. Looks good and happy with product, but black/gold color was just not what I expected.

These are very sturdy, high quality aluminum blanks and they're perfect for my cricut maker. I love that you can pick the exact size you want it to be, along with different options for corners. I have ordered from here before and made engraved coasters. Super happy with the options that they have and will continue to order from this company!

Nice plates except for Black/gold

Ordered both the black with gold underlay and the black with silver underlay. They both look identical. The gold looks no different than the silver. Tried multiple times with different powers and speeds on an Xtool D1 Pro 20 watt, but nothing made a difference. The other color plates turn out good though. Had to order black with gold from another company.

I was able to engrave these with my Glowforge easily using the suggested settings. It took a couple alcohol swaps to clean some of the residue off, but they look great and made me look great.
